How to enable value lists and synchronise enumeration data from Orderwise

Value lists allow you to bring enumeration data over from Orderwise to HubSpot, enabling rich reporting.

Please note: In order to use value lists, you need to have at least 1 standard object sync active. Currently supported objects are customers and variants. You can learn how to map fields from Orderwise to HubSpot in the main setup guide.
  1. Navigate to the "Connected Apps" screen (under "Integrations" in settings) in your HubSpot instance and click on "OW Sync - Orderwise Connector".
  2. Click on "Manage property mapping" in the first row:

  3. Here, we have both customers and product variants enabled for demonstration purposes. Enable at least 1 of them to use the value lists functionality.
    1. With customers enabled, click on the dropdown arrow on the far left of the row, and then on the other arrow for "Custom Properties" once opened.

    2. Here, at the bottom of each tab (e.g. Info, Settings, Financials), you will find the value list fields related to that section. For example, in the "Profile" tab, you will see the following fields at the bottom of the custom properties:

    3. Click on "Go to Value Lists" from any of the rows.
  4. This will take you to the "Value Lists" tab, which can also be reached from the top.

    1. Here, you can search all of the value lists available to you across objects, without having to dig into custom properties. For example, if you enter "price" in the search bar, you will be presented with the matching value lists.

    2. To preview what these value lists will port over to HubSpot, click on the arrow on the far left. This will load all the values from Orderwise for preview purposes only.

    3. You can browse available options by clicking on the "Orderwise Value" dropdown.

  5. Once you're confident this is the data you want to move over to HubSpot in enumeration properties, click on the "Select objects..." dropdown:
    1. Here, you will be presented with the objects available to sync this data to, which match exactly with the custom properties shown previously.
    2. Click on the object you're interested in. This will create a custom property in HubSpot called ow_customer_price_list as shown in the preview.

    3. You can check that the property was created correctly by navigating to your HubSpot company settings and searching for the property.
  6. Finally, you can now enable the value list sync. This will pass over the enumeration data from Orderwise to HubSpot accurately for each object selected.
